FIELDS OF RESEARCH

The project's focus is on two main areas: Firstly, it addresses aspects of contemporary self-images and images of Iceland and Icelanders as part of the North, how they emerge and where they are heading. Secondly, it focuses on the historical emergence and evolution of Icelandic images of the north. Emphasis will be placed on exporation in the following fields of research:
