1. An academic article about regional identity in storytelling, folklore collection and context-research: „Um afdalabændur, Reykjavíkurpakk og allraþjóðakvikindi.“ (Trans.: "On Hick-Farmers, Reykjavik-Trash and Foreign Creatures.") Þjóðerni í þúsund ár?. (Trans. A Thousand Years of Nationhood?) An anthology of new Icelandic research on nationalism, ethnicity and regional identity. Háskólaútgáfan (Trans. University Publication (of Iceland)). Reykjavík 2002.
The anthology has received very favourable reviews in Iceland’s two leading newspapers: Morgunblaðið and DV. My article is also praised in an interview with two respected historians that is published in the anthology itself.
2. Five articles (non-academic documenting a journey through the United States in the time of the Iraq war. Thereof:
Two articles published in the Lesbók Morgunblaðsins (Icelandic equivalent to the Times Literary Supplement). Titles and dates of publication: Leiðin til Bagdad (The Road to Bagdad), April 5th and Bagdad, USA, April 12th 2003.

My current field of study is the documentation, research and representation of contemporary oral narrative, discourse and visual culture with emphasis on place, identity and everyday life.
